At the gym I have started listening to audio books on my MP3 player (it got to the point i was distracted with music, as I would skip songs I just didnt feel like listening to it at that moment).

Monday night I finished listening to an audio book by actor Wil Wheaton (Stand By Me, Star Trek: The Next Generation). The book, “Just A Geek” is a collection essays and blog entries Wil had posted on his website for several years. It covered everything, from financial issues, to lost acting opportunites, and his constant thoughts of wondering if quitting Star Trek were a mistake, and the cause for his mis-fortune.

The audio book is read by Wheaton himself, and he occasionally describes situations and feelings he had when making his blog entries, giving the listener a very detailed account of what he was going through emotionally when he wrote them. That alone makes it a better listening experience, as he gets very personal with these experiences.

The audio book was so enjoyable, I plan on purchasing the paperback and reading it as well.
